<\/h1>\n<\/h1>\nSiena<\/strong> \u2013 The eleventh edition of the Siena Awards Photo Festival<\/strong>, the major international showcase that transforms the Tuscan city into a stage dedicated to fine art photography every year.<\/p>\n During the inaugural weekend, the magic of images filled squares and palaces: an evocative Videomapping in Piazza del Campo<\/strong> illuminated the facade of the Public Palace<\/strong>, transforming it into a visual narrative of light, art, and collective memory. A spectacular way to celebrate 700 years of the Torre del Mangia<\/strong> and to open a festival that combines visual culture, technology, and territory.<\/p>\n The Siena Awards offers Nine photography exhibitions<\/strong> scattered between the historic center and the surrounding areas, from Sovicille to the Abbey of San Galgano, where the section of Drone Photo Awards<\/strong>. The festival, which will continue until November 23, 2025<\/strong>, offers the public an exciting itinerary of landscapes, faces, and stories from all over the world.<\/p>\n The opening was marked by the highly anticipated meeting with Steve McCurry<\/strong>, the world's legendary photojournalist, interviewed by Gianluca Gazzoli in front of a Teatro dei Rinnovati filled to capacity<\/strong>. During the event, McCurry received from\u2019University of Siena<\/strong> the Master's degree honoris causa in Anthropology and Languages of the Image<\/strong>, a recognition of his extraordinary contribution to photographic culture and the human value of his work.<\/p>\n The festival crowned the winners of the three main categories:<\/p>\n Siena International Photo Awards (SIPA)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Creative Photo Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Drone Photo Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The award-winning photographs, chosen from over 400,000 images from 194 countries<\/strong>, tell about the world in its variety: from impactful photojournalism to conceptual art, to the poetry of the skies captured by drones.<\/p>\n
