From May 1st to May 8th, 2025, the Rocca di Passignano sul Trasimeno will host “Geomorphological - The Smoothness of Shadows”, a photographic exhibition by the artist Giuseppe Alessandrini, with the patronage of the Municipality of Passignano.
Through a suggestive visual journey, Alessandrini explores the forms of the earth and transfigures them into compositions that verge on abstraction, making the landscape morphology protagonists of an aesthetic and sensory journey. The images presented are not simple geographical documentations, but veritable visual artworks, where nature seems to come alive in dreamlike symmetries and imaginary faces hidden in the land's reliefs.
The exhibition's title, “The smoothness of shadows”, refers to the poetics that characterize the author's work: light and shadows gently shape the surfaces, transforming valleys and hills into almost sculptural elements, smoothed by time and artistic vision.
The exhibition represents a unique opportunity to reflect on the relationship between landscape, perception, and imagination, in a place — the Rocca — that combines history and nature, offering an ideal setting for immersing oneself in the silent and intense atmospheres of the photographs.
