The Photography Contest “Periferie,” now in its second edition in 2025, is a national initiative dedicated to the visual exploration of Italian suburbs. Sponsored by the de Socio Family in collaboration with the Controvento Cultural Association and with the patronage of the Provincial Administration of Avellino, the competition pays homage to the memory of the journalist Ettore de Socio.concorsoperiferie.it+13concorsoperiferie.it+13it.linkedin.com+13
Theme of the 2025 Edition: “Peripheries, Blurred Boundaries”
This year's theme invites photographers to reflect on peripheries not only as physical places but also as symbolic and ever-changing spaces. The peripheries are seen as blurred boundaries, where identities mix and landmarks evolve. Participants are encouraged to freely interpret this concept, using any photographic technique, as long as the works are original and not created with the aid of artificial intelligence.academy.fotodiego.com
