With All Our Love, Mario: Mutaverso Teatro Presents the Universality of the Common Man

 

After the sold out of TIGER DAD, Mutaverse Theater returns with a new appointment. January 31 at 9 PM, Il Piccolo Teatro del Giullare in Salerno will host With much love, Mario a production of Astorri Tintinelli, of and with Paola Tintinelli. At the end of the performance, the protagonist will engage in a dialogue with the audience, in an event moderated by Michele Di Donato (KLP Teatro).

 

Mario is a common name for a common man. Mario is a former postman who is living the final moment of his life. Or perhaps he is ending one “life” to start a new one. It is a silent, black-and-white show. The title recalls A song by Mario Abbate used in the show along with songs by Enzo Jannacci and a radio broadcasting weather forecasts. More than a show, it's like a notepad whose annotations are burning issues, ideas, discoveries, inventions, projects, concepts, scores, materials, parallel activities, letters, newspapers, calendars, addresses, dates, travel maps, meetings... nothing...

 

The story is “a” story, a thousand stories, my story. The place is a room, a street corner, a locker... the antechamber of death.

 

Then there is man… A human body… A fragile and poetic package for the skeleton of death and the hope of lasting until Judgment Day. He utters no word, mute and empty as a tomb, he makes public what is most secret in the individual's life, containing within it a supreme value that to the world may seem ridiculous, small, a misery. Art brings that misery to light… may it grow and reign!
