According to the previews that emerged at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, the new professional wireless microphone from Insta360 aims to stand out not only for its audio quality but also for its aesthetic appearance and customization. The device, called “Mic Pro,” was designed to be visible within the frame instead of being hidden like classic lavaliers.
The most original feature is the presence of a small color E-Ink screen integrated into the transmitters. Via an app, you can display custom logos, text, emojis, or images, transforming the microphone into a useful branding element for creators, journalists, and videomakers.
From a technical standpoint, the Mic Pro integrates a three-capsule microphone system along with a dedicated AI processor for noise reduction. Processing occurs directly on the transmitter, improving audio clarity right at the acquisition stage.
The system also supports direct connection with some cameras of the brand without the need for an external receiver, a feature called “Direct Connect.” Internal backup recording is also provided, so as to save a copy of the audio in case of problems during filming.
With this product, Insta360 appears to be aiming to compete directly with the ecosystem DJI dedicated to video creators, proposing a solution that combines professional audio quality, integration with action cams, and strong visual identity. According to rumors, the global launch should take place by mid-2026.
